Jeff has finished in 8th place in this mornings free practice with a time of 2:13.5. The fastest riders from Group 1 & 2 are riding in the high 2:08’s! The weather is not looking so good.
Jeff was unable to qualify in the top 12 of his group and had to race in the last chance race. He was in a good position in the last chance race and crashed in a slow part of the circuit. Jeff was unconciuos and transported to hospital by helicopter. Jeff has returned to Belgium where he is feeling OK, but suffering a ‘head-ache’.
It was planned that Jeff would race in this weekends Rookie Races at Lommel, but due to the head-aches, it has been decided that Jeff shouldn’t ride.

Schedule: (Timetable for the 11th &12th)

Championship Standings: (After 3 rounds)
HSV-Ried: (Club Website)
12/07/09. 10:45am. Warm-up 9th.
13:10 RACE 1: As per the information from ‘live-timing’ it appears that Jeff hasn’t made it through the first lap. He has crashed at the furthermost point (Corner 7) from the pits (mechanic) and seemd to have mechanical problems (Probably a hard to start 4 stroke bike!!!!!). Apparently 3 riders have gone down, as they haven’t completed the first lap. One of them being Stefan Olsen, the fasted guy in warm up this morning! Dennis Baudrexl has won the race with a commanding lead of nearly 17 seconds over second place Jack Brunell (#155 from the UK). Third place was M. Finek form the Czech Republic. The riders from Team Kawasaki Pfeil have had mixed results. Angus Heidecke has come again from behind after a bad start and finished in 11th position. Erik Müller (#154 Germany) finished in 30th position one lap down! And Dominique Thury (#64 Germany) crashed out from a top 15 position with a few laps to go.
15:50 RACE 2: The race has started with Jeff in 32nd position, but that didn’t last long, as Jeff was in 39th position on the second lap. On the third lap, Jeff was 58 seconds behind the rider in front (M. Knörle) in 38th place. By half race distance, Jeff had improved by a few places, and settled into a rythym in 35th place. On the 12th lap, Jeff was in 34th, and pushing forward into 32nd where he finished the race after 15 laps.
Jeff is classified as finishing the weekends event in 39th position. Certainly not the result he was waiting for. So now we have to wait to hear from him and his weekends race report!
11/07/09. Jeff Cloots has managed to qualify in the top sixteen for the races on Sunday at Ried, with an 8th position in his group(2) after clocking a best time of 1:56.17. Jeff was 4.1 seconds slower than the fastest rider (Stefan K. Olsen) in his group, and 3.69 seconds slower than Angus Heidecke, fastest rider in group 1. He was not satisfied as he felt too many riders got in his way as he was on his ‘hot’ laps, and without these problems he felt he could of been top 3! Jeff Says, “The track is awesome, as the club prepare it everyday by ripping the surface with a machine, and it allows for so much more grip, so I’m looking forward to a great day tomorrow.”
The riders and spectators are in for a treat this evening, with a special event. 500 Euros is being offered to the rider that jumps the furthest between take-off and landing ramp from all three classes. Young South African, Shannon Terreblanche (Sturm Kawasaki Racing), and good friend of Jeffs, is hoping to win the cash! Also, Daniel Siegl is attempting to break the world record of 54 metres! Last years attempt was cancelled due to bad weather. In breaking news, it is reported, that Siegl jumped a whopping 61.1 metres and nearly crashed in the process. Jeff commented, “Man, these guys are crazy, with the braking area so short, they nearly ended up in the forest, just crazy!”
10/07/09. Jeff is on his way to the fourth round of the ADAC MX Masters Cup this weekend. The first round was in Fürstlich Drehna, and Jeff wasn’t there. The deal with Kawasaki Pfeil was still to come. Then Jeff raced a few German Championship races for Kawasaki Pfeil before attempting to qualify for round 2 at Reutlingen of the ADAC MX Youngsters Cup which he missed out on by just a few places. At round three in Aichwald, Jeff finished 12th over-all. Helping to raise his confidence, and left him wondering why he didn’t qualify at the round before!
Going into this weekends event, Jeff is aiming for top 10 in the races and over-all.
It is possible to keep upto date with the weekends event, by viewing the ‘Live Timing’ results.

The 5th round of the Junior EMX2 races were held at the ‘Bielsteiner Waldkurs’ in Germany near Koln. A natural terrain circuit located on a forested hill side. Unfortunately Jeff was here, but only as a spectator. Racing every weekend takes it’s toll on the body, and Jeff decided to miss this meeting and concentrate on the next ADAC race at Ried in Austria.

Jeff has finished in 5th place overall in todays race at Prisannewitz, in Germany out of the 42 riders competing. With two consistent 6th places in the two races, Jeff is classified behind Neugebauer(1st), Heidecke(2nd), Baudrexl(3rd) and Knörle(4th).
Hi everyone, today I took a major step in my career, maybe the best thing yet. I rode the races in Aichwald and it was a great learning experience!
The qualification sessions on Saturday went according to plan. I clocked the 9th time in my group, which isn’t too bad at all, considering I didn’t even qualify last time. Overall that put me in 17th position. Everything went perfect. The bike was good and the track was awesome. Lots of promise for Sunday.
Training on Sunday went well, this time with the 9th time overall! The track was a bit slippery but that’s the way I like it.
I didn’t have a great start in the first race. I was 19th, Joël wouldn’t be happy. I had no choice but to attack immediately. I was charging up to 14th quite easily but then it got harder. I managed to get 12th place but in the final lap got passed again. I crossed the finish line in 13th place.
I wasn’t really happy because I knew I could get into the top 10.
The start of the second race was even worse than the first one. 22nd place is dreadful. I was angry with myself and started pushing forward. My team mate Angus Heidecke passed me and I was able to stick with him. Together we charged through the pack until he made a mistake. I couldn’t avoid him (sorry ‘bout that Angus) but managed to stay on the bike. Angus did go down. I finished in 9th place, just behind a group of three others. I wasn’t tired at all, I wanted the race to have lasted ten minutes longer!
After the race I wasn’t pleased with myself because I knew I could have made the top six, maybe even top five.
Conclusion: I have to train harder! Then I can do it! I’ll start right now. Looking forward to the next race!

Hey everybody. Today I rode a DM in Lugau – Germany. A super nice race!I liked the circuit very much. The bike was perfect and training went well, no crashes.Timed training went well. I was tremendously lucky as well! I was trying to put down a very fast lap time, but I lost control on the start straight. As a result I went completely wrong over the table top, I landed on top of a rescue member aside the track. Oh man, I thought the man would die, but fortunately I only hit his body and not his head. He fell down from the table top. With … no injuries, how lucky I felt!I clocked the eight best lap time in my group, not too bad.I didn’t have a good start in the first heat, about twentieth, but I tried to get through as fast as possible. I went over the bars and my hip and shoulder really got hurt in this crash. I tried to restart as fast as possible, as sixteenth, and managed to get further up in front. In the very last lap I caught the rider in ninth position on the finish line. I was satisfied and not satisfied at the same time because I knew I could do better!
Start of the second heat wasn’t any better. From a twentieth place on, after losing a few places at first, I found my pace again and gained places to the front. I was in a battle with Dennis Uhrling, passed him, to finish close to ninth position, as number 10 in the ranking! So I was satisfied, beside my starts. I really need to work on starts so my results can still improve.
Up to next week in Aichwald!

Hey everyone.Today I had a race in Axel. It was good and it was not good…
The morning training was no good at all. I tried new bars and I shouldn’t have, because it was no success at all. Things were not as they should have been, I finished fourteenth. Not good enough!
At the start of the first race I ran into the starting gate, so after a disastrous start I was in the back of the pack. I took an outside line in the corner, and I couldn’t avoid crashing with Jeremy Delince. We both hit the ground really hard. I tried to start the engine but it took a while before I was able to continue the race. Together with Jeremy I had to come back from last place. I really gave it all, I was completely empty in the end, to finish ninth, finally. I needed time to recuperate from the efforts, but I didn’t quite succeed.
The start of the second race was better, in about sixteenth position I took the outside line of the first corner. Good thing I did that, because many of the guys on the inside got stuck. In tenth position after that first corner, I worked my way up to sixth and that is also how I crossed the finish line. Today I was completely empty after the race, a day I won’t forget easily.

Hi everyone, it really has been my day today! I really like the track of Westdorpe. I was in the right mood and would be one of my better days, the best until now actually!
In training I had the fourth lap time in the Inters Open category, so that was alright. Not the best time of the pack, but fourth is not bad.
Oh man, what a good start I had in that first race: in second position! Super! I lost 2 places immediately after but halfway through the heat I managed to get back into third position. Five laps before the end I lost same pace but I still was able to finish fourth (second in mx2), so I had reasons to be satisfied!
A less good start in the second race: I only got away I round fifteenth place and immediately started the chase.. I gave it all and finished in the back wheel of the third rider, almost crashing in a last effort to beat him near the finish line.
So another fourth place (third mx2), in other words, I was third on the PODIUM!!!! Whow, my first podium in my very first year in the Inetrnational class … super satisfied up to the next day!
